ESG Regulations in India: BRSR and beyond National Conference by SOBE_IICA, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India 14-15 December 2023, New Delhi

Our Mr. Gangaa C SHARMA, Managing Director & CEO participated in panel discussion during National conference on Responsible business conducted, held on 14-15 December,2023 at New Delhi. The conference was organized by School of Business Environment, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) which is a premier autonomous institution under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

The panel members comprise of officials from regulators (SEBI), corporate, advisory, rating agency, academia, discuss about ESG Regulations in India: BRSR & beyond with national context and rapidly changing International regulations.

Mr. Sharma, who is also one of the board member of Global Sustainability Standard Board (GSSB),GRI shared his perspective based on  leading  impact based sustainability reporting initiative such as GRI, European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), evolving concept of double materiality, interlinkage between different Sustainability Reporting protocols/framework and how India can be an active part of this global evolution and make Indian enterprise more sustainable through right balance of regulation and voluntary mechanism.
